7<^e Pto&xied TttoAtei Plan fa* 'Pie&uo State CoUeae Development of a Master Plan to accommodate 20,- 000 full time students is one of Fresno State's first considerations. One of the prime objectives in the development of this master plan is to integrate the new buildings with the existing to achieve a cohesive and harmonious feeling throughout the campus. Integration of new and old buildings will be greatly assisted by redeveloping the existing landscaping scheme to provide pleasant vistas and sheltered promenades using the landscaping and pairing as a unifying element. The new Entrance Mall, now only in conceptual design, utilizes the existing Maple Avenue access from Shaw Avenue and develops this area into an attractive approach to the Memorial Tower Plaza located in the heart of the campus. The Mall has as its focal point, a Memorial Tower with carillon which will serve as a campus theme center and which will be constructed with FSC Foundation Funds. The entrance approach also provides easy access for visitors into the administration center as well as the creative arts center which includes the auditorium. These drawings are only an initial projection of the architect. They do not represent the "finished product." SA8STOW :*«»* SfcMOOt «em«t!UM ..
