2nd *£t. tyo/in*ue %utn "We cannot get the best air force in the world unless we get the best people in the world." Gen. Nathan Twining This was the word of guidance to appear on the program of the commissioning of Johnnie Zinn, now 2nd Lieutenant of the U.S.A.F.R. From graduation in February he went on to Lubbock, Texas, for training as a jet pilot. February, or mid year, is one of the two commissionings held. This June during commencement ceremonies approximately another eight will receive their positions. R.O.T.C. offers a program to encourage and develop the leaders of tomorrow. These young men graduate from college and become officers in the U.S. military service. Dignitaries during the ceremony were Lt. Col. George Kastner, speaker, Lt. Col. Edgar Stambaugh Mr. J. P. Williams, minister Church of Christ, Major C. Cammock and Capt. R. Snover. Principal speaker: Lt. Col. George Kastner. As Angel's Flight President, Christy Wild was given a pearl pendant. Newly commissioned Johnnie Zinn accepts his duties and responsibilities as quoted by Lt. Col. Stambaugh.
