TOonten Student* One of the major bodies on campus is the Associated Women Students. All organizations with female membership are welcome on the activities board. AWS sponsors the Big-Little Sister program which is a big help in making freshman women feel welcome at STATE. The "Meet the Girls" assembly is also popular for coeds on campus, such celebrities as Campus Queen and sorority presidents are introduced. The big event of the fall is the Queen's Ball. The girls work for months to make this event a success. This year, Sue Schroeder was crowned Campus Queen from among fifteen candidates. The spring semester is just as active with the group sponsoring Bermuda Day and the Spring Formal. The office of historian was filled by Ginger Cordray for the spring, semester. Recording the events of the Associated Women Students for future use was the job of fall historian, Joyce Cummings. Kerry Conaway Spring President Keeping an accurate account of AWS activities during the spring was Jan Sasaki's duty. Elections of AWS were the concern of Annalee Stockton and Barbara Harmon during the fall and spring. 47
