Place Second i*t 00 A A "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride," is how Coach Max Kimberly summed up the 1962-63 wrestling season for FSC. The team placed second in the Northern California Tournament, second in the CCAA league meets (5-1), and second in the CCAA Tournament, but finally broke the jinx by winning the Pacific Coast College Tournament. The team won their share of individual championships. Led by Joe Rossi, Eddie Davies, Roy Stuckey, and Don Nelson, they compiled a record of 85 wins and 33 losses, and 1 tie. Kimberly is expecting bigger and far better things from next year's squad. Kimberly had the finest freshman team on the coast. Now that he has made Fresno State known as a big time wrestling college, the championship teams will be here to stay. Eddie Davies, 130 CCAA and Northern California Championships Joe Rossi, 157 CCAA, PCC Championships and second Northern California. Bertoldi scores a point on a take down. 243
