Dr. George West Graves ^^THC Department of Agriculture and Biology offers a variety of courses in both the pure and applied phases of "the agricultural and biological sciences. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Aln agriculture courses of four types are offered: I. Courses designed for students majoring in Agriculture for an A.B. Degree in Agriculture and Biological Science from fresno State College; II. Courses which constitute a minor in Agriculture for students preparing to teach in the elementary or junior high schools or for students in other departments choosing electives in Agriculture; III. Courses for students interested in transferring to the technical curriculum leading to the B. S. degree in Agriculture offered by other institutions,- IV. Practical agricultural courses for students not interested in a degree. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Aln biology courses are offered types of work which make it possible for the student interested in professional training in nursing, dentistry, and medicine to complete at fresno State College the one to three years of training required for entrance to professional courses in nursing, dentistry, and medicine as offered by various hospitals and universities. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Afor students interested in the biological sciences and preparing to teach either in elementary or high schools, minors and majors are offered which permit specialization in the junior and senior year in various phases of biological science both pure and applied. Training in these applied phases of the biological sciences opens the way to employment in different services and institutions where a knowledge of biological science is basic. A A A A AA natural History Society, an Agricultural Club, and a Pre-fTledical Club are conducted under student and faculty leadership. They afford an opportunity for social contacts as well as discussion by students, faculty, and invited speakers of matters of interest to the club members.
