ACADEMIC the first semetser were as follows: Herbert West, president; Frances Hoyt, vice- president; Doris Thompson, secretary. For the second semester they were: Thomas Ward, president; Virgil King, vice-president; Louise Porter, secretary. At the last for the final year, and the climax of the class's history in Fresno State College. With age and experience came wisdom. This last year was characterized by a more stable organization and more interesting meetings. A song contest was held and two class songs selected. Then by the use of a questionaire the class determined that the most profitable and pleasant way of spending each meeting was by having outside speakers and more book reviews. This policy has been carried out by the executive committee which was composed of the following members for the first semester: Ted'Chism, president; Milburn Wright, vice-president; Lucile Bryant, secretary, and for the second semester by Kenneth Brown, president; Lorin Vanderlip, vice-president; Ida Edmiston, secretary. Through cooperation with the Sophomores a beautiful float was planned and entered in the Raisin Day parade. It was a hugh silver foot-ball mounted upon a green field—depicting the Far Western Conference Football Championship. The float was well received as was proven by its winning the silver cup given to the best float entered in the school division. Senior Day and Commencement were the major events of the year. Senior Day was outstanding in that it marked the beginning of a new event, the Senior breakfast which will probably become an annual tradition of the graduating classes. This history would be incomplete without some mention of the intelligent guidance and inspiration of the sponsor, Dr. Lang. The class owes much to his kind supervision. And so this brief chronicle contains the prophecy of the Senior Class—a record of a passing of time, an expenditure of energy in the maturing of judgment that presages a full life of success and useful activity.
