1 1 Hill 1 J. W. Wertz and Paul Paredes operate the power hack saw in the farm mechanics shop. This is how they keep them down on the farm—in these war surplus army barracks. The Duroc News and The Livestock Breeders' Gazette, typical of the literature found in the farm library, are perused by three farmers. The college agricultural department operates a farm of 800 acres, including classrooms, laboratories, offices and livestock buildings and pastures. This department, created since the end of the war, gives students both practical experience and an opportunity to profit from farming activities. The farm, located in one of the most diversified and productive areas of the world, offers a wide range of experience to students in both animal and plant science fields.
