BOARD OF PLAYHOUSE CONTROL ■pHE Board of Playhouse Control sits in a general advisory capacity and recommends plays on the basis of student reactions to plays already produced. The administration of the budget and improvements on the Playhouse are part of the Board's duties. Requests for use of the Playhouse are also decided by the Board. Here, as on other boards, equal representation and voting power is accorded students. Board members are the Playhouse director, Playhouse technical director, one faculty member, the student president, the men's and women's legislative commissioners and the respective presidents of Bronze Buckle and Empathy, honorary speech organizations. Productions this year were "The Male Animal," "Angel Street," "Joan of Lorraine" and "Green Grow the Lilacs." They were directed by Miss Betty McGee and Mr. George Nichols. The Laboratory Theatre continued the successful start it had last year by producing "The Taming of the Shrew," "The Importance of Being Earnest" and "Julius Caesar." Greer's music puts him to sleep.
