45 CRIMINOLOGY The arm of the law is indeed long. For the students of William Dien- stein, head of the criminology division, reach into the lives of students even while on campus. In addition to the usual routine of policing traffic on and near the campus, the student police work all athletic events and even control the flow of pedestrian traffic on registration day. Undoubtedly their biggest job to date was the policing of the 1 Fresno District Fair.
