Voss
Keeping busy throughout the year are the members of
the Newman Club. To start off the year the members built
a float for the Homecoming parade which was the co-winner
in the Independent division.
The group "adopted" a needy family and took food,
clothes, and gifts monthly. Their meetings are in three parts
— a religious service, an educational speaker, and a social
hour to round out the evening.
During semester break the group, plus members of other
Newman Clubs in the area, traveled to Yosemite for a two
day outing. Skiing and snowman building contests highlighted
the trip.
The members staffed a booth at the Blue Key Carnival
and ended the year with a "Millerton Final Fling."
