The School of Education is designed to train students for positions as teachers, administrative officers, and special service personnel for elementary and secondary schools. The College Laboratory Elementary School is an item of particular interest to students, teachers, administrators, and parents who may develop an understanding of children and of educational concepts and methods, through both working with and observing the children. The modern school building houses a kindergarten and six elementary grades, and is surrounded by five acres of fenced campus. The Secondary Education Department utilizes the services and facilities of a number of cooperating public schools in the Fresno area, for assignments in observation and student teaching. This provides the students with an opportunity to gain practical experience in the field. SCHOOLS 87
