Student Services Fee The Student Services Fee, established by the Board of Trustees in January 1975, is a reimbursement to the General Fund used to proVide the following student support services: Counseling. Counseling assists students In personal growth, value formation, and the resolution of personal problems which, especially in the period of young adulthood, may impede the learning process. Testing. The Testing Office administers and interprets and, when necessary, develops tests used by Counseling, Career Planning and Placement, and other student support services, It also administers academic placement and advanced placement tests and conducts student profile surveys used in assessing the need for specific student support programs. Career Planning and Placement. Career Planning Services focus the student on vocational and career opportunities related to a particular field of study, The Placement Office also assists students in preparing resumes, improving interViewing techniques, and in securing both part-time employment while students and full-time employment following graduation, Sociai/Cultural Development. The Social/Cultural Development Program provides both opportunities and direction for stUdents in developing organizational skills, planning and implementing programs, developing and administering program budgets and in working effectively with others to achieve a common goal. Health Services. Student Health Services aid students to maintain physical and mental health and to avoid health-related problems which prevent active participation in the educational program, financiai Aid Administration.
