ADMISSION I 41 ADMISSION AS AN INTERNATIONAL (FOREIGN) STUDENT The admission of international (foreign) students is governed by separate requirements. Prospective applicants from abroad should consult individual campus catalogs and international (foreign) student informational brochures available from the campuses. (See Application Procedures-CSUF) OTHER APPLICANTS Applicants not admissible under one of the above provisions should enroll in a community college or other appropriate institution. Only under the most unusual circumstances will such applicants be permitted to enroll in the university or college. Permission is granted only by special action. ELIGIBILITY INDEX The following chart is used in determining the eligibility of graduates of California high schools (or California legal residents) for freshman admission to a state university or college. Grade-point averages are based on work completed in the last three years of high school, exclusive of physical education and military science. Scores shown are the SAT total and the ACT composite. Students with a given GPA must present the corresponding test score. Conversely, students with a given ACT or SAT score must present the corresponding GP A in order to be eligible. The minimum eligibility index is SAT, 3072 and ACT, 741. The index is computed either by multiplying the grade-point average by 800 and adding it to the total SAT score, or multiplying the grade-point average by 200 an adding it to 10 times the composite ACT score. Nonresident students must have a minimum eligibility index of 3402, using SAT; and 826, using ACT. A.C.T. S.A.T. A.C.T. S.A.T. A.C.T. S.A.T. A.C.T. S.A.T. G.P.A. Score Score G.P.A. Score Score G.P.A.
