Loans granted hom this fund may be repaid after graduation. The Mary C. Baker Trust Fund . was established by Mary C. Baker, a former dean of women. It provides small emergency loans to students. Tbe Httl Beatty Benefit Fund was originated by the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and · is sponsored by the fraternity, students, faculty and friends of Fresno State College. The fund was esrabli hed in 1953 for the purpose of aiding Fresno State College students who, because of accident or illness, become physically disabled and reqni1·e immediate financial assistance. Grants from this fund may be repaid when the student is able to do so. The Elizabeth PeMrso?l Carnine Loan Ftmd was established by the Fresno State College Music Dep:u;tment in 1932 as a memorial to IVlrs. Elizabeth Carnine. The fund provides emergency loans tO smdents majoring in music. The lvtm Chapman Lom1 Fund is made available by Mr. Ivan Chapman. primarily for seruo.r students who need financial aid in order co complete their senior year. Crocknrd Memorial Loan Fund wns established in 1960 by the Northern Califomia Motor Car Dealers Association, Inc. as a memorial to Hanford A. Crockard, a former president of the Association. Loans granted from rlus fund may be repaid after graduation. The Fresno Gem (111d Mineral Society Loan Fund was established in 1962. Loans from this fund are :nr:tilable to senior students majoring in geology. The Fresno State College Alumni Association Lonn Fund was established in 1949 to provide loans to students on an emergency basis in amounts not to exceed SSO. The Fresno State College Association Loan Fund was established by the Asso.ciated Students of the college to provide emergency loans to students. Tbe Syd Glars Memorial Lotm Ftmd was established in 1958 by the friends and family of Syd Glass. The fund provides loans up to $100 to education majors during their last s,emestcr in college. The Floy Montgomery Lewis Loan Fur1d was established in 1956 by Floy Lewis, a former faculty member.
