EXTENSION CLASSES The college offers off-campus extension classes in reguhrly listed college courses when student demand is sufficiently large to finance d1e instruction. These courses are arranged each year in dle area served by the college. For information regarding cou:tses, course fees, nud instructional costs, write to the Dean of Educational Services rmd Summer Sessions. The college allows enrollment i\1 6 units of extension courses per semester as a ma'Ximum for teachers employed full time. See Pmg-rcrm l{estrictions for statement regarding extension clnsses. Not more than a total of 24 uu.its by extension and correspondence can be applied toward a bachelor's degree. Not more than 12 un itS of extension and correspondence courses may be trnnsfened from another college or university. ot mo;:e than 6 units of the 30 units rcqu.ired for the master's deg1·ce may be earned in extension courses, student teaclung, transfer credit or any combin:ttion of these. \ IVhen 200 series courses are caught by extension and carry dte designation E after the number, they are coUJlted :ts upper division courses (100 series) in master's degree programs. Candidates for the master's degree should check with the Graduate Office or departmental graduate adviser to learn whether specific extension cou1-ses may be applied on their graduate programs. SUMMER SESSIONS Fresno Srate College conducts summer sessions on its campus in Fresno, on the Bakersfield College can'lpus, and ou the College of the Sequoi:ls campus in Visalia. Special worl<shop sessions are hcld in other valley centers. The Fresno and Bakersfield six-week sessions follow the spring semester; the Visalia and Fresn.o post sessions follow the Fresno and Bakersfield sessions offering the possibility of completing a maximum of 11 weeks in a single summer. Not more than one semester unit mny be earned for each wcel< of attendance, except that upon apprnval of appropriate college authorities additional semester units may be earned at the rate of one-half unit for cnch three "Units for whicl1 a student is registered in ~ threeweek perjod.
