The Business Division prepares srudents for pro-fessional careers in the busines world and for teaching in secondary schools. The program- is designed to provide a knowledge of the'principles, otocedures and art of business management; an 'understanding of the role and responsibility of business in present day society; a foundation -of basic backgr-ound materials for panicipation- in the American enterprise systemi and such proficiency in technical skills and information as the iob mar-ket demands. The division ofiers bachelor of science degree Drosrams in the three specialized business areas of acc6unting, business administration, and marketing, and in agribusiness. Bachelor of arts degree pro-nr"-, ,tE ofiered in secretarial administration, in i'etter"l business, and in business education leading io teaching credentials. Minors and special courses are ofiered to supplement work in other fields. Thb master of science degree is designed to pro-vide advanced work in business, particularly in management. The master of arts degree is-designed to deipen the competence of teachers of business subjecti in secondary schools and iunior colleges. A Bureau of Business Research and Service and an Institute of Industrial Relations are part of the division program.
