Prerequisite: E Ed 105, 132A (concurrently); admission to credential program. Current
conceptions of reading, speJJing, written and oral communications; their roles in the
elementary curriculum.

Prerequisite: E Ed 107 A, 1328 (concurrently) ; admission to credential program. Current
conceptions of history, geography, civics and the sciences; their roles in the elementary

utilization of resource people from several disciplines.

teachers. Directed observation to accompany theory classes.

Prerequisite: permission of instructor. Directed observation and participation to prepare
for teaching, develop traits and qualities for successful teaching, provide basic experiences
for interpreting educational theories. These include tutorial field experience, psychological
foundations observations, sociological foundations ob ervntions, field work in outdoor
education.
132A. Student Teaching in Elementary Schaala (3)
Prerequisite: E Ed 107A (concurrently); admission to credential program. Observation
and participation and a minimum of 45 clock hours of directed teaching with one hour
conference weekly.
1328. Student Teaching In Elementary Schaala (2-12)
Prerequisite: E Ed 132A or equivalent; one semester residence; admission to credential
program. Directed teaching, participation, and teaching in public schools under supervision.
One unit of credit equivalent to 22.5 clock hours of directed teaching.

Prerequisite: E Ed lOS. Types and use of materials and equipment in the classroom;
laboratory work in operation of equipment and appraisal of materials.
