Individual programs are' planned to provide for professional careers in teaching and in business and industry. The industrial technology major emphasizes physical sci-' ence and industrial management as well as the subject fields .within the industrial ans for students seeking technical and managerial positions in industry. BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE IN INDUSTRIAL ARTS The bachelor of arts degree in industrial arts consists of 124 units. The general requirements for the bachelor of arts degree must be completed (see Degrees and Credrmtials). Students majoring in industrial arts must complete a minimum of 40 units of industrial arts courses, 16 of which must be upper division, excluding lA 192, 194; 196. Studenm may elect to do the major pan of the.ir work in various areas such as drnfting, metal, graphic arts, woodwork, crafts, electricity-electronics, or automotive and transportation.
