Other committee chair- men include Akiko Morimoto, decorations; Irene Hagi- hara, refreshments; Kay Kawase, bids; and Hiroko Asao, dance program. -Y- The Tri-Belts held a very successful "Hamburger Feast" at the Hospitality House recently in honor of "Boots" Sotomura,secre- tary of the club, who re- located to Chicago. Honored guests were Miss Patricia Sand, Lowell M. Jackson and the new club adviser. All enjoyed an evening of fun. -Y- Fumiye Sakaguchi, former president of the Pimpernals, is back in camp after a brief schooling at a Salt Lake City Business College. She is expected to leave for a secretarial training school elsewhere shortly. WHEELER VISITS LOCAL RED CROSS Mrs. Lillian Casley Whee- ler, representative of the American Red Cross at the St, Louis Home Service Di- vision, visited Amache Mon- day and Tuesday to consult with Mrs.Brush Arai, local Red Cross representative, according to Jacob Gerrild, YAMANAKA,YUZAWA PASS ARMY “EXAM” Jimmy Yamanaka,formerly of the LA YMCA and more recently from the New York branch, and George Yuzawa, formerly of the local edu- cation office,passed their pre-induction physicals, and are now visiting their friends in Amache. TROOP 162 WELCOMES PUBLIC TO CAMP FIRE JAMBOREE TONIGHT A Boy Scout camp fire program open will be presented by.Troop 162 tonight, at its camp site west of Block 7E. Dr. Takashi Terami will be the speaker of the evening. Songs, stunts and games will highlight the jamboree set by the Scouts who have been camping there since Thursday evening. Tomorrow will be"Scout- ing in Action"day with the camp site open for public inspection. Games, patrol contests and demonstrations in Scoutcraft will be fea- tured in the day's program. BOY SCOUTS CAMP AT ARKANSAS RIVER Twenty Scouts of Troop 161 are at present camping by the Arkansas River, ac- cording to a report from Boy Scout headquarters, The boys will be there for a four-day period. The message will be delivered by Rev. J. Terborg of the Reformed Church of America. A joint YBA service will be held tomorrow morning, 10 o'clock, at the 7G Bud- dhist church with Professor Ichihashi, former faculty member of Stanford Univer- sity as guest speaker. "A Religion That Walks With Life" Is the topic of Unosuke Karatsu's sermon at the Seicho-No-Iye meet- ing tomorrow night, 7 o'- clock, at the 9H church.
