Byrne, chairman of selective ser- vice board No. 190, says his board is preparing to reclassify for induction into the armed forces ap- proximately 1,000 Japanese Americans who were formerly located at nearby Santa Anita racetrack, when it was an assembly center. Induction of the Japanese, Byrne added, may preclude the calling of pre-Pearl Harbor fathers in his dis- trict for many months . TONIGHT TALENT REVUE POSTPONED The weekly block talent revue, originally scheduled for tonight, is postponed until next week-end at 11H. Support March of Dimes By Attending President’s Ball Support the infantile Paralysis drive - - pleads the community activities division. To put it more plainly: Buy a bid for tonight' s President’s Ball. Doors of the auditorium will swing open to couples only at 7:30 o' clock with admission by bids only,ac- cording to Shig Sakamoto, in charge of the “coat and tie” social. Refreshments will be sold. Proceeds of the affair will be contributed to the nation-wide March of Dimes fund. In fact,free of charge the government will crate them and ship the goods once either to the center or directly to relocatee’s new home. 960 FREE MOVIE PASSES ISSUED TO CENTER CHILDREN Over 060 free passes to movies to be shown every other Saturday were issued to children from five to 12 years old by the communi- ty activities department via the block managers. Children holding blue tickets will attend in the morning while those with red ones attend in the afternoon. With the Boy Scouts as- sisting in ushering and seating of the crowd, Sam Morishita or Min Iwamura will handle the projector. The film showing today is "Rodeo Rhythem" feature- ing Fred Scott "The Singing Buckaroo" and the world's greatest "kid" rodeo stars. STORED GOODS TO ARRIVE SGDN A carload of household goods has been shipped out from the Los Angeles ware- house on Jan.18, according to Ralph Mitchell, ad- ministrative assistant.
