Page 8___________________PIONEER____________December 8, 1943 ORGANIZATIONS OFFER FACILITIES TO RELOCATEES IN CLEVELAND Evacuee resettlers in Cleveland are assured of various facilities offered by the Board of Education, PTA, art museum, YMCA, and YWCA according to Harold Fistere, relocation super- visor for the Cleveland area. And through joint relo- cation office-Baptist Home Mission society all facili- ties and services of the city public library have been made available to the relocatees. Evacuees who become li- brary members may take part in book review .meetings, lectures, film forums, in addition to the use of special reading rooms. The new cabinet includes Sadayo Washino, vice-pres- ident; June Kumasaka, sec- retary; Nan Yamamoto, cor- responding secretary;Miyo- ko Washizu, historian; and Sumi Kajimura, member-at- large. A "Stardust" social was held following the ceremony with Yoneko Kochi as emcee. Guests for the evening were cabinet members of the Las Ninas,Meta Adelphons, Pat- ricians, Pimpernels, Tri Delts, and members of the ABC, Golden Avalanche, and Globe Trotters. Committee chairmen for the successful event were Margaret Morita, refresh- ment; Jean Yamasaki, dec- oration; and Nan Yamamoto, invitation. -Y- Plans for the month of December was discussed at a special meeting of the Blue Triangle after the "Two 01clock Tea" Sunday, at the Hospitality House, announced Miss Hana Uno, secretary of the Y. Caroling, making and sending Christmas cards, and a drive to collect books for the center hospital patients were among the activities discussed. Joy Takeyama, president of the Patricians ,will head the caroling committee with Toshiko Tahara, Meta Adelphon president, and Betty Fujimori, assisting. The Tri Delts and the Meta Adelphons will be in charge of making and distributing Holiday greeting cards to be sent to the soldiers and v a ri o u s organizations. Fumi Sakaguchi,Pimpernels' president, will look after the book drive with the assistance of one girl from each of the nine clubs. BODINE LEAVES Leaving the project to- day is Tom Bodine of the National Student Relocation Council in Philadelphia. His next visit here is scheduled for Dec. 16.
