johnnie presents by tsuruta outstanding Juniors' Choppy Kanaga- ki and Dave Matsushima were the outstanding per- formers in the Saturday track-fest. Each scored 21 points and shared indi- vidual scoring honors. comments The time and distances, as expected, were very poor and far below the capabil- ities of the athletes. However, considering the sandy track and the lack of proper work-outs, the boys showed up well--darn well. left out Mikio Nagoshi, senior, running in the century, was gypped out when he came in second but was "overlooked" by the officials. They didn't see him come in be- cause he was running in the inside lane, was their explanation. The specta- tors (mostly seniors) gave out a protesting yell but the big-wigs of the meet ignored them. Choppy Ka- nagaki, junior, was given second spot and the 11th graders won the meet by three slim points over the seniors. The three points if awarded to Mikio would have meant the meet crown for the seniors by one- point. Nagoshi didn't even place in the event. =SPORTS CIRCLE== B SOFTBALL-Today Ramblers vsSeinans-9K-6:30 Hornets vs Broncos-10F-6:30 B SOFTBALL-Results Ramblers def Broncos, 11-1 Hornets def Nuggets, 1-0 (forfeit) Hornets def Ramblers, 18- 12 C SOFTBALL-Monday Chiquitoes vs Jr. Echoes- 10F-6:30 Rambler Jrs vs Sailors-10F -6:30 C S0FTBALL-Results Sailors def Crimson Tide- 9-7 FINAL STANDING AA SOFTBALL LEAGUE W L Pct.
