Kelly, civil service representative, with headquarters at Pueblo, is expected to visit the center on Tuesday to test persons possessing steno- graphic and typing abili- ties. Interested persons who are qualified to compete in civil service examina- tions may obtain applica- tion form 60 and card form 4007 ABC at the employment office. PRESENT MOVIES MAY BE CHANGED Unless a new film ar- rives, "The Trail of the Vigilantes" will be shown here through Friday evening instead of ending on Thurs- day, as previously an- nounced. If the new pic- ture arrives, however, this western will end tomorrow night. If the new feature ar- rives, it will be shown from Friday to Sunday night. If it fails to come, "Brig- ham Young, Frontiersman," will begin Saturday. POSTPONEMENT OF CONTEST ANNOUNCED The kite contest sched- uled for this morning has been postponed until tomor- row due to the weather, it was announced by the ele- mentarv school office. FIRST CHARTER AMENDMENT PASSES At press-time, 22 of the 29 blocks had turned in returns from Monday's vote to determine whether or not issei should be permitted to hold block representa- tive offices. Of the total number of votes, 10 per cent are op- posed to the proposed move. But, according to W. Ray Johnson, community services chief, "the amendment is being carried by an over- whelming margin in every block." ALL MUST HAVE PICTURES TAKEN The leave office stressed the fact that all residents should have their photos taken on the dates speci- fied for their respective blocks, regardless of wheth- er or not they plan to leave the center in the near future. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. INTERVIEW OF SOIDIERS SET Those who applied for the Army Intelligence school at Camp Savage, Minn., will be interviewed by First Lieut. Thomas P. Davis, assistant personnel direc- tor, who is due to arrive here tomorrow. All interested applicants are requested to fill out a qualification form at the employment office prior to the arrival here of the in- terviewing team. Success- ful candidates will be processed at an armed force induction center in time to assure their assignment and arrival at Savage not earlier than June 25, nor later than July 1. ===CALENDAR=== TODAY 7:00 p.m.--Movies, "Trail of the Vigilantes," 12F mess hall. 7:45 p.m.--Movies, 12H mess hall. OUR BOY, CHRIS, IS BACK! Back in mid-December, our boy, just plain Chris Ishii, top PIONEER staff artist, (Lil Neebo), packed his duffle bag and headed for Camp Savage, Minn., as a new recruit in the US Army. It's been five months and Chris is back--A CORPORAL --but still our boy. A bit more bronzed and heavier, he present a handsome picture in his snappy soldier's uniform-- the guys look on in envy and the gals swoon. Corporal Ishii is staying with the Unos at 6E-1C, and is expected to leave for Camp Savage tomorrow. Before coming here he was in Denson, Ark., visiting his folks.
