The teams to be honored are the Royal Araians, king- pins of the AA league and the 8th Annual Granada tourna- ment: Ramblers, second-place winners in the tournament; Amache Zephyrs, A league Champions; and Deltan Jrs., B titlists. The All-Stars are: AA-- Tosh Shimizu, Neb Kuwatanil, Shig Fukuyama, Yuk Yawata, and Kiyoshi Yamate. A (Div. I)--George Yama- zumi, Yoshio Kurita, Frank Matsuura, Bill Kawasaki, and Flu Inaba. A (Div. I I)--Jack Hama- hashi, George Hamamoto, Kane Miyoshi, Jack Iseri, and Alfred Kato. There were noB All-Stars. Invitations are avail- able at the 7B recreation office. Each player and manager will be permitted to bring one guest. Koe Yoshida, athletic director, will be in charge of the presentations. VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE SET The girls' volleyball league will get under way tomorrow, according, to Mickey Hayashi, athletic director. Three games are scheduled to be played at the 11F courts. The softball league will not start until the 30th of this month, said Miss Hayashi. Seven teams are entered in the league. BASES MADE BY REC. DEPT. MEMBERS Bases to be used for the softball leagues were made by members of the department under the supervision of Mickey "Finn" Hayashi and Sunny Kondo. TUMBLERS PERFORM AT HOLLY SMOKER Sixteen members of the junior high school tumbling team, performed at the Holly high school Smoker Friday at the Holly gymnasium, stated Clarence W. Kahler, physical education instruct- tor, yesterday. The members are: Masami Sugimoto, William Sugawara, Minoru Tonai, Tsuyoshi Yamauchi, Henry Kuwatani. Tamotsu Hakagawa, Hideo Koyama, Kiyoshi Hasegawa, Minoru Matsunaga, Lawrence Nakamura. Kay Kanazawa, Charles Kubochi, Isamu Hasegawa, Benjamin Tsurumoto, Akira Fujimoto, and Arthur Miya- shima. As an added attraction, Ben Tsurumoto and Akira Fujimote presented a judo exhibition. Center Leagues Open Next Week The center's A softball league will officially get under way on Saturday, Apr il 24, it was decided at a manager's meeting Thursday night. The AA league will begin the fol- lowing day. It was announced that there will be no B league unless another team decides to sign the league roster. The teams are: AA--Dod- gers, Deltans, Dusters, and Royal Araians. A--Kaynines, Cardinals, Bombers, 12G Randers, and Echoes. GAME CALLED OFF DUE TO DARKNESS The Blocks 11H and 9E softball tilt Wednesday evening at the 11G diamond was called off because of darkness. The game ended in the third inning with the 11H boys leading 7-5. Casaba Teams Vie For Honors The intramural cage competition at the senior high school has entered its third week and 10 teams are fighting it out for top honors, according, to Head Coach John Hoke. Two teams, Hank Shimada's and George Hinoki's, have been named undisputed cham- pions of the 1st and 2nd periods respectively. The remaining four periods' teams are deadlocked and are expected to complete playoffs by Wednesday. The teams are: Kenji Yamaga's and Lefty Kitagawa's, 3rd period; Noboru Niizawa's and Saburo Kawamura’s, 4th period; George Aoki's and Goro Shi- zuru's 5th period; and Harry Kajioka's and Tosh Okamura’s 6th period. The intramural champions will be awarded chenille emblems, stated Hoke. Tosh Okamura's team won the 1st semester crown. SOFTBALL SEPOL GIRLS NIP 8E, 3-1 The Sepol Ramblerettes, champions of the Merced Assembly center, were forced to play alert, heads-up softball to defeat the 8E Storiettes, 3-1, at the 11G diamond Wednesday evening. The contest developed into a pitchers' duel be- tween Ramblerette Shinobu Kunimoto and Starlette Phyl- lis Kinoshita. Miss Kuni- moto won her won game by walloping a mighty homer. BLOCK 7H TAKES 10 - 7 DECISION The 7H softballers took a 10-7 decision from the 12K lads Monday at the 12K diamond. Ken Yamaga, 7H, and Tosh Furukawa, 12K, led the hitting parade with each getting 2 for 3. 9E RAIDERS UPSET AMACHE ZEPHYRS The 9E Raiders pulled a fancy upset by nosing out the Amache Zephyrs, 12-11, in the final inning, at Raider park Tuesday. Shige Ishigaki was the losing hurler. Makoto Sa- kaguchi chucked for the winners.
