Duffy, chief medical director. Special clinics will be open in the mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and are as follows: Monday...............venereal Tueday……….......……chest Wednesday....…well-baby Thursday….….gynecology Friday..................pre-natal The general clinic will be open in the afternoon from 2 to 4 o'clock Monday through Friday, and on Sat- urday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Hospital Staff Holds Party The Christmas get-ac- quainted party held last week by the hospital per- sonnel and workers was en- joyed by more than 300 per- sons. Yuri Yuge and Dr. Joe Abe were co-chairman of the event. Entertainment numbers featured Dianne Endo, Kinu Mihara„ Sumi Kawamura, and Brush Arai and his Kanakans. STRESS LAWS OF SAFETY To stress the importance of safety, a meeting of the employees of the T and S garage section is held every other week, said Chief Ma- chinist Elzie C. Brown. "In an organization such as ours where electrical mechanisms and gasoline are constantly used, there is always the danger of flying metal particles or combus- tion causing fire. However, with safety measures, we will prevent accidents which might impair or handicap our employees. We will strive to prevent a single injury to our personnel,“ stated Brown. EMPHASIZE LOW SPEED Drivers of WRA cars and trucks are asked to keep the speed limit down to 20 miles per hour to conserve gasoline, according to a suggestion by Chief Machinist Elzie C. Brown, today. Cars capable of giving 20 miles per gallon at 20 miles per hour will show a decrease in mileage with a corresponding increase in speed. Other conditions impair- ing the economy of vehicles are excessive idling, racing of standing motors, quick accelerating, too close setting of valve tappets, excessive choking, and starting too quickly, added Brown. New Arrivals Boost Figures The arrival of eleven new residents last week boosted the center popula- tion figures to 6,822, stated Paul H. Freter, hous- ing superintendent. Arrivals are the Juytaro Kitajima family, and Sei- jiro Ogawa, Heart Mountain; Bill Tsuki, Tule Lake; Su- Inouye, Phi11ips, Montana; and S. Yamaguchi, McGehee, Ark. RESIDENT OFFICE WORKERS FETED Cacausian administrative employees in the fiscal, procurement, personnel, and office services departments entertained the evacuees in these divisions Thursday afternoon. A songfest was held and refreshments were served.
