The Fresno Regional Foundation was founded
twelve years ago as a community trust to provide
a simple means for people to deal with
community problems.
There are numerous funds within the Foundation,
each with its own charitable objective and most
are identified with the name of the donor who
established the gift. The funds are pooled for
investment purposes in order to acquire the
maximum yield. The funds vary in size and most
are handled as endowments with the principal
kept intact.
I am pleased to publicly thank the members of the
Board of Governors who serve without compensation
and who are appointed for their wise judgments
in making grants from the Foundation to
serve a wide variety of charitable needs in this
community. The Board appreciates the support of
the seven participating Trustee Banks, of its
donors, the previous members of the Board of
Governors and the many individuals and
organizations that have aided the Foundation
since it was founded in 1966. We anticipate a
continued growth of the Foundation as more and
more individuals, corporations and organizations
utilize its services to serve the charitable needs
of the Central San Joaquin Valley.

The Fresno Regional Foundation offers an opportunity
for those who have worked in or shared a concern for
Fresno and the Central San Joaquin Valley to invest in
the future of the area.
Capital gifts may be made to any trustee bank of the
Fresno Regional Foundation, to be administered as a
separate fund — bearing the name of the donor or any
other name he or she selects — in any of the following
ways:
UNRESTRICTED FUNDS, where the donor relies
entirely upon the Board of Governors as to the use
of the income.
RESTRICTED FUNDS, where the donor limits the
use of his or her funds to a specific purpose or a
particular area of interest.
DESIGNATED FUNDS, where the donor designates
the charitable organization or institution to which
the income is to be distributed each year.
The Foundation welcomes the opportunity for
confidential discussion or correspondence with
prospective donors.

What we are?
The Fresno Regional Foundation is a public
trust. It provides an organized way to carry
out public purposes. The fundamental objective
of this tax exempt organization is to encourage
and capture the philanthropy of those who
are possessed of assets and would like to
contribute to the community that provided
the opportunities they enjoy.
The resources of the Foundation are invested
and distributed by a Board of Governors and
always in response to the desires of the donors.
The objective of the Foundation is to enhance
the quality of life in the Central San Joaquin
Valley. In order to achieve this objective the
Charitable Needs of the community, as
determined by the Board of Governors, are
deemed to include, but are not limited to the
following: health, Arts, alleviation of social
problems, education, senior citizens, character
building, conservation and beautification,
religious institutions, conservation of human
and natural resources, and local
historical programs.
